Sharon Stones Denies Misconduct In 2nd Wrongful Termination Lawsuit

A year after she was fired from her position as a live-in nanny for Sharon Stone's children in 2011, Erlinda Elemen took legal steps to fight back against what she believes was harassment, discrimination and wrongful termination. Elemen asserted in her lawsuit that she endured religious- and raced-based harassment while working for Stone.

But Stone, who is also battling another wrongful termination lawsuit, recently filed documents claiming that Elemen's claims are without merit. Stone asserts that Elemen was let go after seven months of unsatisfactory work performance and availability.

Elemen began working as an assistant Nanny for Stone's children in the fall of 2006. In 2008, she was promoted to head nanny, a live-in position, and moved into Stone's L.A. home. In 2010, Elemen's received close to $160,000 in compensation, which included overtime pay. Elemen asserts that she was paid appropriately for her hours work but claims that Stone told her she was "stealing" and accepting the overtime pay was "illegal."

Elemen is of Filipino heritage and claims, in her employment discrimination and wrongful termination lawsuit, that Stone was hostile to her race. Element asserted that she was told not to talk directly to Stone's children so that they would not develop a similar accent or style of speech.

Elemen also claims that she was harassed by her Buddhist employer because of her own Catholic religious beliefs. On at least one occasion, according to the suit, Element was forbidden by Stone from reading the Bible in the house.
