Christy Granieri is a partner in Bononi Law Group, LLP. Ms. Granieri has vast experience with all aspects of employment litigation, including lawsuits involving claims of wrongful termination, breach of contract, whistleblowing, wage and hour violations, retaliation, discrimination or harassment claims based on age, race, gender, sex, pregnancy, national origin, sexual orientation, mental or physical disabilities. She also has extensive jury trial experience in courts through California.
Ms. Granieri has litigated employment matters in both state and federal courts as well as administrative agencies like the California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement (DLSE), the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH), the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).
In addition to her litigation skills, Ms. Granieri also represents and counsels employers on various employment-related matters, including discrimination, unlawful harassment, wrongful termination, unfair business practices and wage and hour issues. She provides human resource advice to employers, including how to satisfy California's new harassment training requirements, proper investigation of employee claims, drafting handbooks and manuals, and assisting employers on navigating the overlapping medical leave requirements for state and federal law. Ms. Granieri’s experience representing illegally treated employees gives her a unique perspective when advising her employer clients on how to best to handle personnel issues.
Ms. Granieri received her B.A. in Business Administration, with minors in Accounting and Communications Studies, magna cum laude, from the University of San Diego, Honors Program in 2005 and her J.D. from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles in 2009. While in law school, she served on the Loyola of Los Angeles Entertainment Law Review as a Production Editor. She was a judicial extern for the Honorable Carl J. West of the Los Angeles Superior Court, Complex Panel. Ms. Granieri is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in California as well as the Ninth Circuit.
