Peter Charles Flanderka

Mr. Flanderka, a partner of the Bononi Law Group, LLP, handles all types of employment, commercial and general liability litigation, both in the public and private sectors, including cases alleging wrongful termination, discrimination, sexual harassment, civil rights violation, breach of contract, wage and hour violation, defamation and related emotional distress. He also defends Labor Code Section 132a discrimination claims and claims alleging serious and wilful violation.

Mr. Flanderka has litigated matters before all California-based state and federal courts, the Department of Fair Employment and Housing, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board, the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement (Labor Commissioner) the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board and the Federal Office of Civil Rights.
 
In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. Flanderka has assisted numerous employers in drafting their employee handbooks, personnel policies and procedures, employment agreements, and other documents and advises employers on day-to-day employment issues, including investigation of harassment and discrimination complaints, disciplinary action, wage and hour questions, and compliance with state and federal laws such the California Fair Employment and Housing Act, Title VII of the federal Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Care Leave Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act and the California Labor Code.
 
Mr. Flanderka has spoken at hundreds of conferences and employer group functions on employment and labor issues and has authored articles on those topics, including "Family and Medical Care Leave Survival Guide: A Desktop Outline of the Law Affecting Employers."

Prior to joining the Bononi Law Group, LLP, Mr. Flanderka was a partner at the Pasadena office of Laughlin Falbo Levy and Moresi, where he started the firm’s Employment Law Department and specialized exclusively in management labor and employment law and general liability defense.
 
Mr. Flanderka is a member of the Labor and Employment Law sections of the American Bar Association, the California State Bar and the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
